Keep It Fresh

After opening a container of Crisco® oil or shortening, write the date on the package so you know when you first broke the seal.

Get Low

Bake pies on a lower rack in the oven, where the concentrated heat will cook the bottom crust just as nicely as the top. 

Delicate Dough

Pie doughs are sensitive. Try not to pull or tug the dough when fitting it in the pan—it can cause it to shrink when baking.
